The practice was established in 1989 by Dr Adrian Ruane, and since then we have been caring for the people of Westmeath and surrounding counties for more than 30 years. Dr Orry Torsney became the new principal dentist in 2020.
The aim of the practice is to provide high quality care to all of our patients in a calm and positive environment. We are a family friendly practice and provide all aspects of general dental care, restorative treatments, cosmetic dentistry, oral surgery procedures and dental implant treatments.
Dr Torsney qualified with honours from Dublin Dental School and Hospital Trinity College in 2014. During his undergraduate training he was awarded the Deans prize for academic achievements and received the GSK scholarship to carry out research in the Dublin Dental University Hospital. Orry has a keen interest in general dentistry, cosmetic dentistry and implant dentistry. Since graduation Orry has expanded his skills by participating in multiple postgraduate courses. Orry has studied oral surgery and implant dentistry in the USA, Switzerland, the United Kingdom and Dominican Republic. Orry has completed the prestigious Dental Implantology Masters at the ICE hospital in Manchester under the mentorship of the world renowned Oral Surgeon Professor Cemal Ucer, where he was awarded the grade of Distinction. During his practice he has worked with multiple implant systems such as Strauman, Megagen, Nobel Biocare and Biohorizon.
Orry is the Principal dentist at Central Park Dental having taken over the practice in 2020. Orry has a very friendly personality and puts patients at ease as soon as they come in to the surgery. Orry provides tailored treatment plans for the individual and plans treatment at a pace that suits each individual patient. Orry is a member of the Irish Dental Association and attends their annual meetings and various courses throughout the year to keep his knowledge up to date.
Orry has a keen interest in rugby, he is originally from Sligo and follows Connaught Rugby.
Dr Bielicki qualified in 2003 from Medical School of Gdansk Poland, and carried out vocational training in 7th Navy Hospital in Gdansk. Since graduation Piotr has continued his dental education in particularly restorative and implant dentistry, oral surgery and endodontics. He has completed numerous postgraduate courses including: a Diploma in Clinical Dentistry in Trinity College, Dawson Academy Core Curriculum, a 1 year Implant Dentistry Continumon and a Harley Street Restorative Dental course. Piotr is a member of the Irish Dental Association and regularly participates in their CPD.
Outside of the surgery Piotr spends time with his family. He has various interests, including: swimming and sailing and is an active member of Mullingar Sailing Club.
Dental Hygeniest
Caitlin is a local girl from Rochfortbridge who recently joined the team. Caitlin worked as a dental nurse for many years in Galway. She has vast experience dealing with periodontal (gum) issues and dental implant maintainence. Caitlin obtained a bachelor degree in oral health promotion in 2014 from the Institute of technology Athlone. Following this Caitlin completed her dental hygiene program from the prestigious Trinity College Dublin. Caitlin joined the team in 2020 and has been a key member of the team since her arrival. Her calm nature and attention to detail has made her very popular with all our patients. In her spare time she has a keen interest in hiking and traveling, and is a keen GAA supporter.
Practice Manager
Karen has been part of the team since 2001, she completed her dental nursing training from Trinity College Dublin in 2003. She is the face of reception and welcomes all patients with a smile and caring nature. In 2019 Karen undertook a two-year part-time B.Sc. in Oral Health Promotion with Dental Practice Management, graduating from the Technological University of the Shannon: Midlands Midwest with distinction in October 2021. Outside of work Karen is a keen runner and can regularly be found after work on the Greenway.
Dental Nurse
Kayleigh joined the team in February 2020 after returning from Australia. Graduated from Trinity College in 2016 Kayleigh received a high standard of training in all aspects of dentistry. She particularly enjoys cosmetic dentistry, Helping patients achieve their desired smiles. I’m enthusiastic about my job, calm while working and love to keep busy. In her spare time Kayleigh loves to travel and spend time with family and friends.
Dental Nurse
Emily graduated in 2018 from Athlone institute of technology with a higher certificate in science and dental nursing.
In 2019 Emily obtained B.Sc in dental practice management with oral health promotion from Ait.
In her spare time Emily likes to run and represent Tullamore Harriers at national competitions.

I called today as an emergency case with a sever tooth ache. Within 2 hours we met a very approachable, professional and informative Orry. Orry got to the "root" of the problem within minutes. It turned out I needed a rootcanal, which he performed there and then for me. I did not have to go home and take pain killers while he could find time to slot me in. I appreciate that more than I could ever put into words. When you hear the words rootcanal you immediately associate that with pain right? I can assure you Orry was extremely attentive, he took his time, made sure I was comfortable and I never felt a thing. That's a service worth paying anything for in my book! 5 Stars all day long!
Orry is hands down the best dentist in town. Iv such a fear of dentists and from the minute I went in he put me at ease. So professional and all about the care of his clients. Looked after me so well. Cannot recommend him enough

Orry has been my daughters dentist since she was only 4 years old. We are so delighted he now has his own practise and will be our family dentist. He’s amazing with young and old but incredible at ensuring a young child is comfortable and happy when visiting the dentist. We could never imagine seeing anyone else. I visited this dentist practice recently for a dental implant and wisdom tooth removal. I cannot speak highly enough of Dr Orry. You are welcomed and greeted with smiles and a beautiful surgery.
